QCTPC Executive Committee Meeting

January 16, 2018

Present:   Berniece Connelly-Reveal, Corey Fineran, Don Kearney, Hershel Jackson, Katie Morford, Terry Valentine, Mark Jeffrey, Katie Morford, Fred Segura, Chris Dyer, Joe Ehlers

Review of Website Design and Logo

Main parts of services provided and services provided.  Information on pages should be the same, links to the agencies should work.  Discussion on including on the website the following:

  • Mission of TPC
  • Minutes of meetings
  • Contact email address
  • List of members
  • Spotlight on Agencies – we could come up with a list of a few questions then we could write up a piece for each agency
  • TPC Brochure – keep it simple, show agencies most commonly used, agencies listed by services provided

Review of Accepted Grant Proposal/Funds

QCCTEC has agreed to put funds out and then be reimbursed for different TPC items needed for Agency Fair – April 26, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 pm @ Black Hawk College:

  • Printing cost
  • Posters
  • Paper
  • Signage
  • Speaker – lawyer in Peoria area (possible topics: guardianship, legal, financial)

IEIN Requirements

QCTEC is requesting IEIN for those participating in TPC and STEP.  The number will be kept on file at QCTEC and BHASED.

January 30 Agenda for STEP/TPC Meeting – East Moline Administrative Offices on Morton Drive

Possible topics include:

  • DRS post-high school services
  • Website review
  • Agency Fair
  • Next TPC meeting – tour of Area Career Center to see programs available to students.  What programs are available, what students are appropriate for those programs, reading/math backgrounds necessary, etc.  End of February or beginning of March.  

Next TPC Executive Committee meeting – Wednesday, Februray 14 @ 2:30 @ BHASED
